February 19, 1950 – October 12, 2023
“A light has gone from our lives”
Beverly Hiller passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2023 after many years of suffering and loss that failed to extinguish her sparkling good humour and courageous optimism. She was predeceased by her parents Rita and Lorne Hiller and her husband Karol Czarniecki whom she loved beyond measure. Devoted sister of Mary Lou Hiller, “cat-mom” to Toby, Bev was valued by her extended family, many special friends and the students she taught in her visual arts classes during her years at St. Mary’s and St. David high schools.
Bev was generous to a fault. She was an empathetic listener. She could put a crazy spin on any story under discussion. She loved the music of the 60’s and 70’s, could recite all the lyrics. She was intelligent, well informed and strong-minded in her views. You would have loved her as all of us did. May she rest now, free from pain and re-united in spirit with her beloved husband Karol.
A celebration of Bev’s life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 am. A reception and time to visit with family and friends will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
