In His perfect timing, the Lord called to Himself His child Stephen Andrew Elgersma on Sunday, February 18, 2024. He passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at home with his family by his side.
Dearly beloved Husband of Marie (nee Groen) for 68 years. Loving Father and Grandfather of Liz and Henry Westerhof: Christal and Phil Lambert (Matteus, Nathaniel and Jared), Jacob and Monique (Ava, Henry, Eleanor and George), Marijka (Mackenzie and Samuel), Rick and Jackie Elgersma: Lindsay and Chris Pennings (Braeden, Grace and Lyla), Meaghan and Matt Hutten (Kenzie and Noelle), Nicole and James Janssen (Evan, Blake and Scott), Steve and Samantha (Ally, Andrew and Aiden), Gerry and Betty Ann Elgersma: Andrew and Kayla (Rhett and Georgia), Jeremy, Eric and Laurissa (Elodie and Fenton), Kristen and Gavin Wieske, (Marlie, Colton and Stella), Austin (Kate Buitenhuis), Steve and Sharon Elgersma: Joel and Sarah (Kinsley) Mark and Kate (Trenton and Weston), David, Laura and Calvin, Phil and Marlene Elgersma: Matthew and Hannah (Loretta, Hazel, Corbin, Ivy and Aubrey), Stephanie and Justin Benjamins (Ellia, Jack and Myles), Rachel, Sarah and Paul Westerveld (Landon), Jacob and Lisa (Judah), and Cheryl and Victor VanHerk: Levi and Melanie (Atticus) Jessica, and Rebecca. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at ZION UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, 1238 Old Highway 8, Sheffield, where a Memorial Service will take place the following day, Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Al Bezuyen officiating. Interment to precede the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
