Shirlee-Ann “Sherry” Bernice Wells Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Sherry Wells announce her passing unexpectedly at her home on June 8, 2024.
Predeceased by her parents, Russell and Isobel Wells of Toronto. Survived by her siblings, Diane Robinson (Dennis), Russell Wells and Barb Holzschuh (Dave).
She will be dearly missed by her cherished nephews and nieces, Scott Robinson (Michelle), Brad Robinson (Laura), Jenna Trakalo (Chad) and Lauren Holzschuh (Brodee).
She is also survived by her great- nieces and great-nephews. As well, she will also be missed by her friends and all those who had the privilege to have known her.
Sherry grew up in Toronto. She attended the University of Western Ontario and the University of Alberta where she obtained her credentials in English, Drama and Directing. As well, she held a Bachelor of Education degree. She took great pride in becoming a professional actor. Her passion for The Arts was revealed in her dedication to her students and her enthusiasm for both school and Community Theater productions.
After retiring from teaching, Sherry pursued her passion for the Arts through various pursuits such as pottery, stained glass, crafting, painting, choir, dance and theater. She thoroughly enjoyed her gardens.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family celebration of life at a future time.
In remembrance of Sherry, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.
