Ruth Allen, 62 years of age, passed on Monday November 20th at Hamilton General Hospital.
Born December 14, 1960 in Sarnia, Ontario, she entered the loving home of her older sister Rosemary and the late Jack and Peggy Curran. Affectionately known by family and friends as the avid troublemaker, Ruth moved through the GTA as a restaurant manager with her husband Joe. She was a caring mother of three with endless stories to share of Ireland back in the day, her aging father, and the mischief of her young boys. Her compassion knew no bounds. She was always putting others before herself, even to her own detriment on occasion.
Ruth was the glue that held the family together – she always kept everyone connected, whether it was through phone calls, birthday and anniversary reminders or her annual Christmas parties. She was a warm heart, who gave the best hugs and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
Ruth’s legacy is the unwavering love and kindness she spread to everyone she met. Her memory will forever be cherished by her 3 children, Shane, Cameron and Caleb Allen as well as her husband Joseph Allen and an abundance of friends, relatives and loved ones.
Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 at 1pm at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 79 Freelton Road, Freelton. Following the Funeral Mass, all are also warmly invited to a Reception at the CARLISLE GOLF CLUB, 523 Carlisle Rd, Carlisle.
