Robert Murray White Obituary
Robert (Bob) Murray White, passed away peacefully in his home in Burlington on October 4th, 2024. Beloved husband of Kathryn (Bogle) for 52 years, Bob was the proud father of Adam (Bethany), Joanna (David), and Gillian, and loving grandfather to Nate and Abigail White, and Lachlan and Remi Carr-Harris.
Born to Jessie and Jack White, Bob was the fourth of five children. He is predeceased by his sister Linda and survived by his siblings Joan (John Murray, deceased), John (Barb Preston), and Ronald (Doreen); his sisters-in-law Arlene Munro (Barry, deceased), Sandy Michaluk (John), Lynda Fay (Wilf Phillips), and Debra Dobbie (Gary). He was known as Uncle Bob to 20 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children, and loved dogfather to Ruby.
Bob served Scarborough, Halton and the Town of Halton Hills for over 35 years as an accomplished Urban and Regional Planner. Fascinated with the progress of humanity, Bob was a wealth of knowledge to anyone that would listen. He was a lifelong lover of music, fishing and sports, all gifts which he shared with his children. Forever kind and with a bright smile, Bob had a wonderful laugh, a sharp sense of humour, and told the absolute best stories.
Bob will be deeply missed by both the White and Bogle families. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life. Friends wishing to send an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Ontario SPCA.
