Matthew Brennan Royds Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Royds on August 12, 2024 at the age of 48. Loved son to John (Sandra) Royds of Carlisle, and Teresa Watmore of Lindsay.
While Matthew had struggles throughout his life, he will be remembered for his love for his family. He was father to much loved twins, a daughter, Sidney, who currently attends college in California, and son Hayden who attends Queen’s University in Kingston. He loved them very, very much and even during his darkest days had pictures of them beside his bed and in his pocket at all times.
He loved his brother Chris who lives in Toronto, younger sister Bethany (Bowyer) and brother Bill (wife Carrie) both who live in Kawartha Lakes. He was also the uncle to 6 beautiful nieces and nephews.
He recently met several new friends in Carlisle and loved camping, kayaking and swimming, with one of them in particular.
Private cremation has taken place and Matthew will be laid to rest at Carlisle United Church Cemetery.
