Linda Haist Obituary
Passed away peacefully in her home on December 11, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born March 27, 1948, in Leven, Scotland. After immigrating to Hamilton at the age of 19, she married Timothy Haist in 1970. Linda was a loving mother to their children, Ian (Jennifer) of Burlington, and Steven, of Waterdown. She will be sadly missed by her granddaughter Kaitlyn. Linda was the only child born to John and Janet Redpath. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sarah Fletcher (Bill), brother-in-law Jim Haist (Elena), and brother-in-law Phil Haist (Judy). Linda was a special friend to Margaret, Caroline, Beth, Joan and Gladys. She worked for many years running HVAC offices in Burlington.
Linda was a lover of Elvis, dogs and horses, especially her beloved paint horse Bolero whom she rode in the woods for many years. She was an avid scrapbooker and gardener, winning a trillium award for her incredible Hostas and perennials. All who knew Linda will truly miss her strong will, adventurous spirit, and immense generosity.
Many thanks for the wonderful care of the St. Elizabeth’s PWSs; in particular Alana, Joshilin and Maria.
There are no funeral or Celebration of Life plans at this time.
