Kevin Francis Higginbottom Obituary
Embraced by his wife and daughter, after a lovely final day, Kevin passed away with dignity after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Brenda, daughter Kayla, mother Joan, sisters Lorraine (& Ron), Karen (& Ritchie), and Maxine (& Phil), and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born and raised in Quebec until age 14, when the family moved to Mississauga, ON. Kevin graduated from Woodlands High-school, and years later at the 11th high school reunion, he re-introduced himself to his future wife Brenda, pursuing her valiantly. All his hard work paid off- resulting in 36 years of marriage, a wild daughter, and a ton of fun.
Kevin spent his life embracing his many passions, including (but not limited to); photography, side car riding, racing & building cars, buses, boats, motorcycles, and anything with an engine. If you were to have asked Kevin about his greatest life accomplishments, he would have mentioned his years of service as a volunteer fire fighter, rescuing cats and training dogs, building a V8 engine from scratch and creating the world’s only Mazda RX7 with a V8 engine, constructing airplanes, and being everyone’s go to Mr. Fix-It. He loved a challenge, puzzle, board game, or joke, and was a lover of all kinds of art and music. Kevin loved traveling (especially places where he could get a tan), took pleasure in making friends with everyone, and would let nothing stop him from enjoying a beer at “his” pub.
He leaves behind a Kevin shaped hole in our hearts, but you would expect nothing less from such a character. His little dragon and big dragon will miss him terribly.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Kevin’s Life at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. Tributes will be shared at 4 p.m.
