Jude Alexander Lincoln Lopes Obituary
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Jude passed away at Juravinski Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2024 while surrounded with the love of his family.
Beloved husband of Charlotte Clark and dear father of Kieran, Mia, Callum, Sophie, and Olivia Lopes. Jude will also be missed and remembered by his mother Bella Lopes, his brother Gavin Lopes and sisters Cynthia Samuels and Euphemia Heal, and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Christopher Lopes and his brother Roland Lopes.
Jude was a proud 25-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service. He was a decorated detective whose service included assignments in many units including Guns and Gangs, Organized Crime, Terrorism and CFSEU. Thank you to all his colleagues who made time to visit him at the hospital during his final months.
Jude’s primary passion was his children. He dedicated his life to nurturing and supporting his children with unwavering love and compassion. His passion for fitness, cooking, and storytelling was infectious and inspired everyone he met. He had an amazing ability to make people feel confident and cared for. Everyone sought him out for advice and comfort. His legacy of compassion and guidance will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday July 18, 2024 at 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Waterdown, Ontario.
Donations to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
