Passed away surrounded by her family at the Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton on December 25, 2023. Loving wife to Robert for 48 years. Beloved mother to Brian (Ashley) Humphrey and Jenna (Steven) Parker. Adored Grandma to Avaya, Beckett, Titus & Wells. Predeceased by her parents Walter & June Waldron. Dearest sister to Larry Waldron (Angela Rogers).
Janis will be remembered for her longstanding contributions to bettering the lives of people living with Alzheimers and dementia. From her career with St. Peter’s Hospital to her passion project with the Art Gallery of Hamilton, she has devoted her life to the continued education and care for persons with dementia and their caregivers. Her legacy will live on, through her friends and community around the world.
Friends may visit with the family at a Celebration of Janis’ Life at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 (what would have been Janis’ 70th birthday) from 1-4 p.m. with a time for toasts beginning at 2:30 p.m.
