Peacefully, with family at his side at Shalom Manor, Grimsby on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, Henry Bartels was called home by his Lord and Saviour at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Mechelse). Loving father of Wayne and Hilda Bartels, Shanna Ravensbergen, Geoffrey and Chelsea Bartels, and Sarah and James Vis. Cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Geraldine Sluyter (the late Jacques), John and Willie Bartels, Bill and Annemarie Bartels, Ben (his twin brother) and Ingrid Bartels, George and Marta Bartels, Hans and Coby Bartels, and Wilma and John Hutten, and brother-in-law of Ann and Henry VanderScheer, Dick and Hilda Mechelse, Audrey and Herman Rustenburg, Tina and Paul VanVliet, Ron Mechelse, and Jerry and Willy Mechelse.

Visitation on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. at TRINITY CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 3081 Tisdale Road, Mount Hope, where the Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. D. Agema officiating. Interment to follow at Sinclairville United Church Cemetery.
