Harsevoort, Berend Hendrik “Harry”
On Monday, December 18, 2023, our dear Harry Harsevoort was called home to be with the God he loved, at the age of 80 years. Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife Tina Harsevoort (nee VanMiddelkoop) after 38 years of marriage. He is survived by Greta Eelkema (nee Vanderwal), his beloved wife of 13 years.
He will be greatly missed by his children and children-in-law: Shauna and Paul Krikke, Karen and Braden Mann, Bernie and Elaine Harsevoort, Jamie and Khadijat Harsevoort, Matt Harsevoort and Jentine Gootjes, Laura Harsevoort-Heyink and Kevin Heyink, and Rose Harsevoort. He was a loving and much-loved grandpa to 21 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 2 great-grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings, with whom he shared a special bond: Grace (John) Vanderwoude, Herman (Jane), Ben (Hanna), Fran (Piet) Vanderpol, John (Janet✝, Joy), Diane Driegen, and Margaret (Harpert) Vanderwel. Harry will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at CORNERSTONE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 353 Stone Church Road E., Hamilton, where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. Interment Service will be held at Burlington Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:30 a.m.
If desired, a donation in memory of Harry to World Renew would be appreciated by the family.
