Francesco De Carlo Obituary
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Devoted husband of Rita (nee Coscarella). Predeceased by his beloved daughter Elda De Carlo (Mary Krick) in 2020. Loving father of Angelo De Carlo (Beth), grandfather of Cody Krick (Vannessa), Christina McMaster (Bradley), Meagan De Carlo (Jeff), Anthony De Carlo (Bethany), and great-grandfather of Caiden, Raelyn, Mason, Morgan, Elda, and Cameron. Dear brother to Angelo (Lina) and Nick. Uncle to Orlando (Anne-Marie and family), Frank (Sue and family). Francesco will be missed by the Coscarella family in Canada and Italy, as well as his family in the United States.
Frank immigrated to Canada from Italy when he was 16 years old, and began working right away to provide for his future family. He retired after 35 years at Stelco, and was able to enjoy another 30 years of retirement, where he worked around the house, and enjoyed tending to his garden and fruit trees. Special thanks to Dr. Ryan Cross for going above and beyond with caring for Frank.
Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11 a.m., with Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, as expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
