Anna Elisabeth VanEerden (nee Klaver) Obituary
After 85 beautiful years full of God’s blessings, Anna Elisabeth VanEerden (nee Klaver) went to be with her Saviour on Tuesday August 6, 2024. Anna was born on January 20th, 1939 and was raised, along with her four siblings, in Dokkum, the Netherlands. Anna trained as a nurse in the Netherlands and emigrated with friends to Canada in 1965 to work. While in Canada she met Tony and they married June 26th 1970. They were blessed with four children. Anna loved nursing and helping people, her family and her friends, cross stitching, sudoku and crossword puzzles, travelling and camping. She also loved a good book, and a good laugh and always offered a sympathetic ear. She was a faithful, loving and patient wife, mother, oma, friend and Christian.
Anna was loved and will be missed by her husband Tony, her children Helen and Harvey Bosch, Tom VanEerden, Richard and Lynn VanEerden, Karen and Floyd Knights, as well as her thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Martinus and sister-in-law Saapke Klaver, her sister Tineke and brother-in-law Jan Boschman, her sister Dingina and brother-in-law Frans Bendegem, her sister Bea and brother-in-law Sip Sijtsma, and also her brothers and sisters-in-law Alida Bolks, Geert VanEerden, Rie and John Wiegers, and Mien and Arie Alderliesten.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 6-9 p.m., at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Rd, Burlington, where a Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. Private family interment was held before the service at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
