Mary Elinore Linton Obituary
LINTON, Mary….passed away at her Warkworth, ON home on Tuesday July 9th, 2024 in her 85th year. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, David Linton. Cherished mother of Charles Linton (Corrinne) and Michael Linton (Valerie). Beloved grandmother of Robin, Sydney, Hayley, Ben, Jessica and great grandmother of Taylor. Mary is survived by her sister Yvonne Clarke (the late Trevor). She is predeceased by her parents Howard & Violet Wilson, her brother Glenn Wilson (Betty) and her sister Roberta Montgomery (surviving husband Bruce).
Mary was born in Downeyville, Victoria County, ON, near Lindsay, moving to Campbellford when she was 5 years old. Life brought Mary and David to many towns and cities in southern and northern Ontario, ultimately returning to the rolling hills of her youth in Northumberland County. Mary left an impression on those who knew her. Her wit and sense of humour ( and stubborn independence) remained through difficult and trying times. Always able to have an informed conversation on almost any topic and willing to share her opinion, requested or not , with a twinkle in her eye. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
At Mary’s request, cremation will take place and her family will celebrate her life privately. If desired, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
