It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Ruth Rochelle Rosevear. In her 84th year, Ruth passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in her beloved hometown of Walkerton at South Bruce Grey Health Centre.
Devoted mother to Lori (Kevin) Pritchard of Cambridge and Clarence (Robin) Rosevear of Chesley. Cherished grandmother of Sami (Phil), Brady (Alicia), Bryanah, Leah (Blake), Christopher (Aimee), Andrea, Sarah, and great-grandmother of Sybil and Orsen, and her grand and great grand pups. Ruth will be remembered by her siblings Maggie Rossignol of Southampton, John (Brenda) Kaster of Ottawa, Art (Janice) Kaster of Strathroy, and Mary Kaster of Stayner, and loved by many nieces and nephews across the globe, along with many dear friends.
Predeceased by her brother Richard Kaster, sister-in-law Leone Kaster, brother-in-law Paul Rossignol, and her parents Clarence and Marjorie Kaster.
An avid knitter, black cherry ice cream and onion ring connoisseur, coffee phanatic, and famous for her strawberry jam, apple pie and cookies, Ruth never missed an opportunity to share or give what she could.
Her deep seeded love for the Toronto Maple Leafs presented itself even in her final days as she lit up with every update she was given on their playoff status. She could never get enough of yellow flowers, Charlie Pride, and the colour blue.
Ruth always shared her gratitude and appreciation for her community of friends, especially those from her Cayley St Apartment building. A tiny spit fire, Ruth’s sense of humour kept her nurses, family and friends smiling and laughing through her final days.
Her greatest joy and pride was in her family who she will continue to live through each and every day.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton.
Private family interment was held at the Walkerton Cemetery.
