Christena “Mary” Lambertus of Walkerton passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in her 92nd year. Beloved mother of Peter (Heather) of Walkerton, Steven of London, Ann (Grant) Hoover of Inverhuron, and Mike (Natalie) of Pennsylvania. Cherished grandma to Alyssa (Kyle), Briana (Andrew), Daniel, Sydney, Ryan, Evan (Shannon), Cole, Zachary, Jason, and great-grandmother of Emma and Kendall. She will be dearly missed by her sister Irene Hunt of Kitchener, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Jack, siblings Francis Hughes, Angus Hughes, Leo Hughes, Marlene Gross, Colleen Grischow, Fr. Raymond Hughes, Helen in-infancy, and her parents Thomas and Christena (nee McCormick) Hughes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Reception at Sacred Heart Church to follow.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
