John “Jack” Edward Hesch of Walkerton passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Helen and dear father of Mary Margaret (Wayne) Beitz of Chesley, and Michelle (Paul) Neuman of Hanover. Jack was the proud grandpa of Alex (Shelby), Cayley (Ryan), Carter (Amanda), Michael (Justine), Josh, Mackenzie (Grace), Myles, and great grandpa of Colton, Benjamin, Austin, Kathleen, and Charlotte. He will be remembered by his siblings Elaine Spitzig of Walkerton, Richard Hesch of Listowel, and in-laws Brenda Hesch of Kitchener, Dave Huck of West Montrose, Millie Hesch of Walkerton, Doreen Perry of Hanover, Wilbert Schurter of Hanover, Elmer (Anne) Schurter of Hamilton, Gerry (Irene) Schurter of Hamilton, and Theresa Schurter of Burlington.
Predeceased by his grandson Eli Neuman, siblings Joseph in infancy, Gerald Hesch, Carol Hesch, Mervin Hesch, Betty Huck, Sharon Poechman, parents Roy and Olive (nee Dietrich), in-laws Andy Spitzig, Walter Schurter, Norman Schurter, Raymond Schurter, Clarence Schurter, Marguerite Schurter, Eleanor Turchyn, Jerome Schurter, Joan Hall, and Lucille Schurter.
Friends and relatives are invited to memorial visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Reception to follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
