Cyril William Spitzig of Chepstow passed away peacefully Monday, April 22, 2024, at his daughter Anne’s home in Mildmay in his 95th year with loving family by his side.
Loving father of Lloyd (Minh), Anne Duncan, Joan (Gary) Fischer, Jane (Dave) McKeen, Barbara (Jeffrey) McDonald, Stephen “Speedy” (Colleen), Albin, Dan (Cathy), Mary (Rob) Chapman, Martha (Andre) Demers. Sadly, missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy Zettler, Norbert (Carol), and Earl, in-laws Florence Spitzig, Mary Zister, Marilyn Spitzig, and Elaine Spitzig.
Predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Beatrice (nee Meyer), twin daughters Beatrice and Bernice in infancy, son-in-law Tim Duncan, daughter-in-law Dianne Spitzig, brothers Ray, Joe, Maurice, and Andrew, parents Albin and Clara (Zettler), in-laws Harvey Kleist, Walter Zettler, Leander (Dorothy) Meyer, Frank (Cecilia) Meyer, and Oscar Meyer, parents-in-law Joseph and Josephine (Kunkel) Meyer.
Friends and relatives are invited for casual visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow. Fr. Livinus Okamgba officiating. Reception will be held at Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton following interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
