On April 28, 2024, Betty Lang (nee Dunk), formerly of Toronto, passed away peacefully, at Brucelea Haven, in Walkerton, Ontario. Betty was 94. She was preceded by her husband of 69 years, (Leo) Ralph Lang. Betty is survived by her son David (Susan) of Williamsford, her granddaughter Alexandra (George), her great granddaughter Claire of Barrie Ontario, and her grandson Cameron (Hilary) of Langley B.C. As well as her step grandchildren David Brown (Kristy and Brodie) of Burlington, Kaitlyn Addison (Dale) and Joshua Brown of Hamilton.
Betty was born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, the only child of Gertrude and Alex Dunk. The family moved to Campbellford, Ontario, during the depression and then to Toronto, during World War II. In 1944 Betty met Ralph, while both attended Bloor Collegiate, in Toronto. While attending Bloor Collegiate, Betty played on several teams and was involved in the school council. After graduating school, Betty worked for Bell Canada, as a customer service representative. Many years later, Betty returned to school, attending the University of Toronto, where she became involved in the part-time student’s union. She graduated with a degree in Spanish.

Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Campbellford.
