ST-JEAN, Edna (née Bédard) – 1932 – 2024
The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, on Tuesday February 13th, 2024 at the age of 92 years. Daughter of the late Eugène and Edouardina (née Beauparlant) Bédard. Beloved wife of the late Florian St-Jean of Verner. Dear mother of Suzanne St-Jean of Nelson, B.C., Lise O’Connor (Jim) of Ottawa, Gaëtan St-Jean (Marline), Marc St-Jean and Pierre St-Jean (Tammy), all of Verner. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Mikkel (Lianne), Alexis (Sarah), Emilie (Jason), Jennifer, Philip, Tamara and Anij. Precious great grandmother of Renée-Anne, Emeric, Maelle and Luka. Dear sister of Paulette Charles (Émile) of Gatineau, Jeanne d’Arc Dorion (late Reynald) of Orléans and Pierrette Bédard of Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by Gabrielle Maloney of Niagara Falls, Lucille Mahartoff (late Nick) of Vernon, B.C., Simone Plante (Cléo) of Sudbury, Lorraine Joncas (late Fred) of Chelmsford, Bernadette Pilon (Maurice) of Embrun, as well as her brothers: Rhéal, Roland, Aimé, Ferdinand and Eugène. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital, for their kind and compassionate care. Edna will be remembered for having been a very lucky, caring person with exceptional gardening abilities.
A funeral service will be celebrated at the Verner Cemetery on Friday May 24 @ 14:00 hrs.
