Our dear Mother, Fennechiena “Fenny” Slager passed away peacefully in her 102nd year to be with her Lord.
Predeceased by her husband Martinus Slager (1991).
Loving Mother of Roely (late John 1998), Dian (Joe), Martin (Anne) and Gina (Ineke) (Barry). Predeceased by son Tony and daughter Victoria (Eugene).
She was Grandma Fenny to 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Also predeceased by her siblings Lakas Moesker, Roely DeVries, Lloyd, Mark, Ralph Moesker and her special friend Adrian.
Fenny was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with Martinus and three children; she loved this country. She spent most of her married life in Ancaster, Ontario. Loved gardening and hosting get togethers with family and friends and spent winters in Florida. She was the Queen of the sjoelbak and was always up for a game of dice. Mom always had a story to tell. She helped many along the way with her faith, wisdom and love, and will always be near, in our cherished memories. Thanks to all of those involved in caring, encouraging, entertaining, and ministering Fenny while she lived at Moira Place in Tweed.
