It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of
Donna Georgina Johnson McFadden
June 6, 1963 – January 11, 2023
Donna passed away peacefully at the Heart of Hasting Hospice.
She was the youngest daughter of the late George and Doreen Johnson.
She was also the beloved wife of the late Chuck (Charles) McFadden.
She is survived by her son by choice Ryan Gilfillen. Sisters, Linda (Jamie), Donalda, Jo Ann, Brenda (Wally), and brother Allen Johnson (Liz), predeceased by sister Mary, and brothers Neil, Dennis and Robert. Donna was much loved by her family as shown by the assistance that was given to her during this transition.
Allen and family went above and beyond anything one would normally expect. Donna also had a special relationship with her niece Tammy Rae Johnson who was a great help and caregiver in her time of need. Donna was a gentle, friendly soul who made friends easily and quickly. If you knew Donna, she probably considered you family. She was much loved by all her nieces, nephews and extended family. We’re all going to miss her! Thank you to the staff at the Heart of Hastings hospice.
