In Memoriam: Christopher (Chris) Alen Minnie
March 12, 1958 – January 29, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chris, a devoted father and true enthusiast of nature and the great outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his children Jessica (Chuck Johnston) and Adam, their mother Michelle, sister Cheryl Purchase (Bill Wallbridge) and extended family. Predeceased by his Father Douglas Minnie of Tweed and Mother Joyce Harmer Brett of Gananoque.
Chris was a dedicated worker for almost 30 years at Kennametal in Belleville with his uncle Larry. Chris’s true calling from an early age was his enjoyment of the outdoors. He was the happiest when he was able to spend time 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, fishing, or hunting with the gang, his lifelong friends, and especially with his family.
Beyond his love for the outdoors, Chris was a devoted father to his two children Jessica and Adam. He instilled in them a deep appreciation for nature, fostering a close family bond rooted in shared adventures, laughter, stories and the simple joys of life.
The family requests that any donations be made to The Wildlife Federation of Canada.
We ask you to remember Chris as a man whose spirit will forever roam the woods, and when you see that 12 point buck on the ridge think of him.
Arrangements entrusted to Rushnell Funeral Home, Tweed (613) 478-3535. Online condolences: rushnell.com
