Vivian Ione Donnelly Obituary
Donnelly, Vivian Ione (nee White), born in Kingston, Ontario on July 21, 1928, passed away on
Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the young age of 96 years. She is predeceased by her loving
husband Allan Donnelly, her sons David (surviving Barb), Michael (surviving Kelly) and Joel
(Peggy). Also predeceased by her parents Thomas and Madoline White, her brothers Ken
(Bertha) and Tom (Rita) White. Vivian is lovingly remembered by her surviving children Julie
(Greg) and James (Annette). Vivian is also survived by many beloved grandchildren; Sarah
Jane, Kelly, Anthony, Joshua, Jami Lee, Sydney, Michelle, Jayson, Tyler and will be
remembered by many great grandchildren and her extended family.
Family was extremely important to Vivian, and she was a supportive wife, mother and
grandmother. She had a very involved career throughout her lifetime. She attended business
college and then worked for London Life and was a secretary with Eatons, Simpson Sears, then
Sears and Steel Manufacturing. She also worked at Trenton Post Office for 15 years. She had
many interests including cooking, curling, gardening and being a snowbird who travelled to
Florida in the winters. She was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxilliary. Her
family loved the fact that she kept up with everyone on social media, right up until the end, and
she was often referred to as “Facebook Nan”.
You were blessed to know Vivian. She shared her wisdom and her positivity.
Cremation has taken place and under the care of Weaver Family Funeral Home and Vivian will
be placed to rest privately at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Following that, a private celebration of
life will be held for family and close friends at Trent Port Marina on Saturday September 21 st ,
2024, 1:00 – 3:00pm.
