After a long battle with cancer, Leo passed away at home on August 13th. Leo is survived by his wife Pat of 24 years, his daughter Ashlyn, step-children Clarkson (Stephanie) and Cathy-Jo, and grandchildren Madelyn and Nora. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Helena and three brothers Wally, Henry, and Richard, Leo is mourned by his remaining sisters Dinah, Maria (Allen), And Christina (Don) along with his many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Beeton, Leo worked for 30 years for the town of New Tecumseth for the Parks and Rec department. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. The family would like to thank all of those who helped care for him as he fought his battle. A special thank you to his buddy Ron, home-care nurse Mary-Jo, and the staff at Rod Abrams Funeral Home. The family is requesting that any donations be made to Southlake Hospital – Stronach Cancer Center in lieu of flowers. A celebration of life will be held in September at a date to be determined.
