It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Robert Kesteven, age 78, on December 14, 2024 surrounded by family at Stevenson Memorial Hospital Alliston. Doug is survived by his sister Barb (Rob) Thompson, (step) daughters Daphne (Ron) Robinson, Amy (Ted) Skerratt, grandson Ryan Zanelli, and son Michael Kesteven. He will be sadly missed by his niece Shanna Robb and partner Justin, and his nephew Ryan (Jillian) Robb. Doug is predeceased by his loving wife Sandy (Grant) Kesteven, his parents Bob and Verda Kesteven, his sister Jan Robb, and brother-in-law Bill Robb. Doug often reminisced of his years playing baseball in Tottenham. His passion for motorcycles and old cars was apparent to all who knew him. Doug would talk “the good old days”, with anyone that would lend an ear.
As per Doug‘s wishes, a private service will occur with immediate family only. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to any of his preferred charities: the Alliston Humane Society, Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
