It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father Giovanni Marcantonio and dear husband of Maria Grazia Marcantonio on March 2, 2024
Born in Castlefranco, Benevento, Italy on September 30, 1940 to Donata and Giuseppe Marcantonio. He immigrated to Canada in 1962.
A devoted father to his children Donna (Peter), Joe (Carmela) and Andy (Mirella) and nonno to Juliana, Jonathan, Nicholas, Patrick and Sarah. Also a brother to Rocco (Joanne) and sister-in-law Maria.
Dad will be reunited with his parents Donata and Giuseppe, sisters Antonietta and Maria, and brothers-in-law Domenico, Leonardo, Fedele, Giuseppe, Michele and sister-in-law Concetta.
Giovanni will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dad’s strength and perseverance will forever be remembered and cherished in our hearts and to those who had the honor of knowing him.
Rest in eternal peace, be with the angels and watch over us.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you for all the support and care from the staff at Villa Forum as well as the various hospitals who participated in the care of our father, husband, nonno and brother.
The family will receive friends at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Toronto on Wednesday March 6th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Angels Church, 61 Jutland Rd., Toronto on Thursday at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the Last Supper Mausoleum in Glendale Memorial Gardens, 3810 Albion Rd., following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make donations to the MS Society or a charity of your choice.
