Peacefully on Monday, December 23 2024, in her ninety-ninth year. Beloved wife of the late Ted Hendler for fifty years. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Aaron Hendler and Joan Starkman of Toronto, and Debra Hendler and Jeffrey Hyams of West Hartford, CT. Cherished grandmother to Robbie, Alexander, Lily, and Teddy. Dear sister to the late Dora Rosenblum, and the late Philip Spector, dear sister-in-law to the late Morris and Freda Hendler. Dear aunt to David Spector, and Jackie Hendler, the late Glenda Abramson, the late David Hendler, and the late Francine Hendler. Adored great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Sincere appreciation to her kind and caring neighbours, friends, tenants, and caregivers who helped her maintain her independence in the home she had lived in for sixty-five years. Evelyn was the glue that kept her family and large number of friends together with her notes, phone calls, and care packages. She will be deeply missed by all. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Thursday, December 26th at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
