Lindner, Willi (1937-2024)
The family announces with great sorrow his peaceful passing with his girls by his side at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Claudette Lindner (nee Filiatreault). Loving father of Kathleen Holmes (Alan) of Timmins and Anna Lindner-Wright (Darcy) of New Liskeard. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Holmes (Mark Manners) of Ottawa, Justin Holmes (Jeff Lara) of Pittsburgh, CA., Paxton Wright (Tory Bartlett) of New Liskeard and William Lindner of New Liskeard. Also left to mourn are his many nieces and nephews. Willi was predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Hildegard Lindner, His brothers Manfred and Yurgen Lindner and his sister Bridgette. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 from the chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 and 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Friday June 21, 2024 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
