Wayne Albert Villeneuve
t is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital – Hospice on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his wife Sylvia (nee Richard) and survived by his loving partner Lillianne Letang. Dear father of Gilles (Barb) and Laurie as well as an amazing stepfather of Suzanne (Kevin), Marcel (Debbie), Joanne (Tony), Lise (Peter) and Albert (Cassandra). Cherished grandfather of Zackary, Victoria, Jason, Courtney, Britney, Phillippe, Miranda, Kevin Jr., Kayla, Samantha, Cassandra, Gary, Natalie, Sean, Jessica, Kaitlin, Melissa, Cody, Michael, Fredrick, Draven, Linkin and Wayne as well as great grandfather of 22 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings; John (Joyce), Claudette, Irene (Bob), Joseph (Tammy), Tom (Rose) and Deneen (Steve) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leo (1997), Emma (1960), his stepmother Fernande Bergeron (1994), his sister Yvonne (2017), his brother Rolland (2019) and his grandson Logan (2004).
Wayne was a man of great musical talent and had a passion for country. He was part of the Country Classic Band and was inducted in the Grand Ole Opry. His favorite artist was George Jones. In his downtime, he enjoyed blueberry picking, spending time with his fur baby George, loved being around his grandchildren and making them talk and laugh. Wayne was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In Wayne’s memory, Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lung Association. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, Ontario.
