Obituary for
Thomas Strange
It is with great sadness that the family announces Tom’s death at the Golden manor on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Barbara Strange (nee Lotzke). Loving father of Karen Alison Strange of Oshawa and Kevin Thomas Strange (Amy) of Arnprior. Cherished grandfather of Layla and Lucas. Dear brother of Donna Racine (Gilles), Allen Strange (Kim). He is survived by many sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his Parents Kenneth and Cecilia Strange, his in-laws and his brother-in-law. Tom was born and raised in Noranda Quebec. He worked for many years at Noranda mines, then moved to Timmins in 1973 where he worked at Texas Gulf and married the love of his life, Barbara. He enjoyed playing hockey and watching curling. His pastimes were hunting, snowmobiling, going to his parents cottage and fishing. Tom loved his salmon fishing trips in Wawa every August with his dad.
As per Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In his honour, remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, On
