Shawn Donovan
In Loving Memory of Shawn Donovan, who passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2024 at the age of 64 years. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, step-father, grandpa, brother and brother-in-law and beloved friend to many.
Born on November 3, 1959, Shawn lived a life defined by kindness, compassion and unwavering dedication to his family. His presence brought humour, warmth and joy to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories.
Shawn was a pillar of strength for his family, always providing unwavering support and guidance. His love knew no bounds and his presence will be deeply missed by his spouse, children, relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife Kim, his children Chandy (Maarten), Kory, his step-children Andrew (Kaitlyn), Nick (Kim), Julia (Schanuj) and Mykie (Shae), his grandchildren Tessa, Liv and Adalee, his brothers, Mike (Laurie), Chris (Patty) and Murray (Nat), his mother-in-law Sue, his brother-in-law Jamie (Tina), his sisters-in-law Sherrie (Paul), Cheryl (Greg) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Debby, his parents Iris and Bernie, his father-in-laws Aurele and Joe.
He will be remembered for his dedicated police service for over 36 years and his love for the Boston Bruins, travelling, fishing, pool-side summer days and pro-line. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Though he may be gone from our sight, Shawn’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and love. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 from the St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral (Father John Lemire officiating). A reception will follow at the Surge Sports Lounge. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
