Salomée “Sally” Veilleux
We regret to announce the death of Salomée (Sally) Veilleux on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 84 years. She was employed at Cité des Jeunes High School as a librarian for many years before retiring. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cottage with her family and travelling. She is survived by her daughter Ginette Carriere (Gaetan) of Timmins and her son Marc (Stéphanie) of Ottawa as well as her 4 grandchildren Guylaine Duchesne (Jason), Chantal Lauzon, Alain Carriere (Caroline) all of Timmins and Katia of Gatineau and her 8 great grandchildren Abygail, Meckenzie, Daxton, Chloé, Danika, Nicholas, Blake and Mateo. She was predeceased by her husband Rhéal (2012) and her son Daniel (2013), by her parents Honorius and Juliette Charpentier as well as her 4 brothers and 8 sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice at the Timmins and District Hospital for the excellent care provided to mom.
As per her request, there will be no service. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In her memory and in lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, ON.

Elle aimait voyager, passer du temps à sa cabine avec sa famille, lire et tricoter. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa fille Ginette Carrière (Gaetan) de Timmins et Marc (Stéphanie) d’Ottawa. Chère grand-maman de 4 petits enfants Guylaine Duchesne (Jason), Chantal Lauzon, Alain Carriere (Caroline) tous de Timmins et Katia de Gatineau et ses 8 arrière petits enfants Abygail, Meckenzie, Daxton, Chloé, Danika, Nicholas, Blake et Mateo. Sally est prédécédée par son époux Rhéal (2012) et son fils Daniel (2013), par ses parents Honorius et Juliette Charpentier ainsi que ses 4 frères et 8 sœurs. La famille tient a remercier l’Hospice de l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district pour les excellents soins.
Selon ses souhaits, il n’y aura pas de service en ce moment. Une célébration de vie sera remise à une date ultérieure. Les dons commémoratifs à la Société du Cancer seront grandement appréciés.
