C’est avec tristesse que la famille annonce son décès à l’hôpital de Timmins et du district le mardi 13 août 2024 à l’âge de 79 ans. Cher frère de Gisèle Berry, Michel Martel (Francine Beaucage), Paulette Martel et Lise Whitmore. Il sera manqué par plusieurs nièces, neveux, cousins(es) et amis(es). Prédécédé par ses parents Donald et Isabelle Martel, sa sœur Mona Gauthier, son frère Ronald Martel et ses beaux-frères Don Whitmore et Gerry Gauthier. Richard était enseignant pendant plusieurs années. Il aimait beaucoup jouer au « bridge ». La famille aimerait remercier le docteur Durepos pour les soins que Richard a reçu durant sa vie. L’incinération à eu lieu et un service privé pour la famille immédiate aura lieu à une date ultérieure. En sa mémoire, les dons commémoratifs à Horizon Santé-Nord – Soins Cardiaque seront grandement appréciés. The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the age of 79 years. Dear brother of Gisèle Berry, Michel Martel (Francine Beaucage), Paulette Martel and Lise Whitmore. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Isabelle Martel, his sister Mona Gauthier, his brother Ronald Martel and his brothers-in-law Don Whitmore and Gerry Gauthier. Richard was a teacher for many years. He enjoyed playing “Bridge”. The family wish to thank Dr. Durepos for the care Richard received over the years. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Remembrance donations to Health Sciences North – Cardiac Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
