Doucette, Raymond (1949-2023)
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Irene Basaraba-Doucette. Loving father of Michael Doucette (Debbie), Kareen Hodgins (Derek), Tia Riopel, Christopher Walker, Weldon Basaraba, Mark Basaraba (Shelly), Michelle Hagerty (Neal), Also left to mourn are his 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is survived by his three sisters; Pauline Beauchamp (Denis), Jean Squires (Don), Donna Lynn Doucette (Matt), his Oma Erika Peruta, his sister-in-law Christine and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jean-Paul and Irene Doucette (nee Lamoureux), his brother Roger Doucette and his nephew Paul Doucette. Ray was passionate about his family and his career as a business manager of Labourers Local 491. He was also a musician/singer, ball player, Blue Jays enthusiast and avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bonfires and the great outdoors. He loved spending the winters in Florida with his wife, dog and new found friends from St Augustine. Ray gave his heart to the lord 14 years ago in St. Augustine, Florida. The family would like to thank Dr. Williams for his care and compassion. Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from the chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
