And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. It is with the heaviest of hearts that Lily and Leo Hamel announce the passing of their youngest son, Paul Marcel Hamel at the young age of 55 years. Paul is survived by his parents Lily (nee Demers) and Leo Hamel, his older brothers Guy and Mike, his sisters-in-law Karen and Sam (Sandra Blakemore), his beautiful sons Jamie and Jesse, his sweet, sweet grandson, Ronnie Hamel and Lynne Hamel (Lepage).
Paul’s career path ebbed and flowed to job sites working on a piece of equipment, supervising construction projects for Miller Paving and to teaching heavy equipment operator apprenticeship programs for Northern College. We have honored Paul’s wishes by having him cremated and will celebrate his life privately as a family. Our family would be grateful if anyone wishing to make a donation did so to Diabetes Canada. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
