It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mary on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 86 years.
Loving wife of the late Fredrick ‘’ Fred’’ Orr. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Carolyn Piccolo (Greg Piccolo), Linda Isherwood and by her brother Billy Isherwood (Sharon). She leaves behind her dear friend Jacques Lefebvre (Lynn), as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary is predeceased by her parents William and Vera Isherwood as well as by her parents-in-law Eldrige and Helen Orr and by her sister-in-law Gale Orr.
Mary had a wonderful and long career at Pamour Mine for more than 40 years as the pay master. She was known for her extraordinary sense of humor and the kindest smile. Mary had a passion for knitting. She shared Fred’s love of fishing and camping. She will be greatly missed.
A special thank you to Dr. Quirion and the nurses Maija and Mel for their compassion and care throughout her brief stay at the Timmins and District Hospital. Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no funeral and no visitation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital or the Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.
