Marcel L. Turpin
It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Helene (nee Montreuil). Loving father of Lynn (Alexis) Turpin, Nicole (Denis) Smith and Marc (Shannon) Turpin. Cherished grand-papa of Julie (Thomas) White, Courtney O’Neil and Randy (Kim) Turpin and great grand-papa of Jayden, Gavin, Taryn, Achillies, Phoenix and Serenity. Dear brother of Jean (Con) Raymond. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Marie and Joseph Bergevin and his sister Claudette (Ronald) Thibault (2023).
Marcel was a simple man who he made his family his number 1 priority. He was a kind man with a lovely soul. He worked proudly for 32 years at Northern Printing. Also known as Mr. T, he was a true MacGyver when fixing things around the house. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed camping, playing the guitar and fiddle and getting scratch tickets.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. In Marcel’s honour, remembrance donations to the Lung Association, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, ON
