The family announces with great sorrow her death at the Extendicare Timmins on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the age of 89 years. Loving wife of the late Emile Portelance in 2019. Beloved mother of Lynn (Rodney) Hummel, Gilles (Denise) Portelance and Brenda (Paul) Desjardins. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Austin, Christian (Carmela), Brandon, Josée, Danielle, Paul (Sara) and Marc (Danielle). Dear great grandmother of Nicholas, Marco, Isabelle, Mason and Emilio. Dear sister of Marcelle Lauzon. Predeceased by her parents Eugene and Alma Provost, her brother Lucien Provost and her sister Lucille Demers. The family would like to thank the staff at the Extendicare Timmins – Mattagami wing for the wonderful care they provided. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1 pm in the St-Dominique Church. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 12:45 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the St-Dominique Church. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
