Obituary for
Diane Taylor (Pressé)
The family announces with great sorrow Diane’s passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of Neil Taylor. Cherished mother of Candiace Taylor (Frank Rubino) and her dearest furbaby Dexter. Dear sister of Claude Pressé (Diane), Linda Pressé (Pierre) and Ninon Pressé (Jean-Yves). Sister-in-law of Gord (Leola), Jim (Sharon), Al (Sue), Kathy (late Zeke), Peter (Sue) and Philip (Karen). Daughter-in-law of Raymond and Teresa Taylor. She will be sadly missed by her special cousin Carole Tutic and her extended family from Cameron Beach. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Diane is predeceased by her parents Robert Pressé and Cecile Laliberté.
Diane left Montreal in the early 1970’s and chose Timmins as her permanent city to call home. Speaking French only, she quickly learned to speak English with the help of her husband Neil. Diane worked as a school secretary with Sacré-Coeur School for the majority of her career and retired with the Timmins District School Board. She enjoyed every moment of her retirement soaking in the outdoors and spending time with her dear friends at Cameron Beach. Diane leaves us with heavy hearts and will be missed dearly by many.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2024 at the Dante Club. The celebration starts at 11:00 am with a prayer service officiated by Deacon Michel Néron at 11:30 am followed by lunch at 12 noon. Remembrance donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
