Denis Larose
It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the age of 64 years. Beloved son of the late Andre and Pauline (Bordeleau) Larose. Cherished brother of Marcel Larose (Rachel Lefebvre), Claire (Roland) Labelle and Lina Larose (Denis Kingsbury). Dear uncle of Jason (Gabrielle) Larose, Daniel (Ashley) Labelle, Julie (Jason) St-Louis, Luc (Denise) Lemieux, Richard (Kim) Lemieux and Chantal (Travis) Lemieux as well as 7 great nieces and nephews. Denis is also predeceased by his niece Natalie Larose, great nephew Ryan and his brother in law Andre Duquette.
Denis was born with Cerebral Palsy, because of his many challenges he taught his family empathy, perseverance, patience and most of all love. His sisters were often by his side, throughout his life, to aid with his care. They will miss him dearly.
His many hospitalizations taught him resilience and strength. Denis was a quiet man, never one to complain. He accepted his disabilities and made the most of what he could. He lived independently for many years. Denis had a good sense of humour but laughed the hardest when someone would hurt themselves like bang their head or trip on something!!
The family would like to thank the staff at Access Better Living on Lonergan for the many years of assistance, especially Erin, his favourite PSW. She always made him laugh or swear (in French). To the ABL family residents, thank you for your friendship…yes Dave Campbell you too. Thank you to all the staff for the wonderful care he received at TDH over the years.
Denis you may be gone from our sight but you will never be forgotten. Denis would often say this when we left his place with a smile… See you later alligator. After a while crocodile. Not too soon big baboon…
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In his memory, remembrance donations to the Cystic Fibrosis or the Access Better Living – Lonergan location would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins Ontario.
