Alexander “Sandy” MacPhail
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins Extendicare on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the age of 77 years. Cherished spouse of Kim McKenzie(nee Backstrom). Dear father of Patrick (France) MacPhail, Scott (Ginny) MacPhail, Shawn (Mary) MacPhail and Ryan MacPhail. Dear step-father of Dana McKenzie (Kyle Kuuru) and Clint McKenzie. Beloved grandfather of Alexandra, Mark, Jessie, Mathew, Isabella, Brayden, Aria, Bryce, Rylie, Ryker, Liam and Quinn. Dearest brother of Ross MacPhail and Mike MacPhail. He will be sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Bridget MacPhail. Also left to mourn are his nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Sandy is predeceased by his parents Ross and Sirkku MacPhail and his siblings Marny, Rory and Christopher.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home followed by burial at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
