It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing after a long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Timmins and District hospital at the age of 82.
Beloved husband of 59 years to Thérèse Desrochers (nee Rodrigue). Loving father to Linda (Dale) Morel, Josée (Danny) Bergeron and Diane (Albert) Carrière. Cherished grandfather to Logan (Alisha), Morgan, Devin (Tessa), Amanda, Kyle (Vayda) and Conor. Dear great-grandfather to Evelyn, Drayden and Talia.
He will be greatly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Alain is predeceased by his parents Léo Paul and Joséphine Desrochers.
The family would like to thank Marnie Chisholm and the staff at Bayshore as well as the staff at Close the Gap for all their compassion and care.
Respecting his wishes, cremation will take place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lessard Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations to the St-Joseph Parish would be greatly appreciated.
C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès suivant une longue lutte courageuse contre le cancer, le jeudi 11 juillet 2024, à l’hôpital de Timmins et du district, à l’âge de 82 ans.
Époux bien-aimé de 59 ans de Thérèse Desrochers (née Rodrigue). Père aimant de Linda (Dale) Morel, Josée (Danny) Bergeron et Diane (Albert) Carrière. Cher grand-père de Logan (Alisha), Morgan, Devin (Tessa), Amanda, Kyle (Vayda) et Conor. Cher arrière-grand-père d’Evelyn, Drayden et Talia.
Il manquera beaucoup à ses frères et sœurs, ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs, ses nièces et neveux et ses amis.
Alain fût prédécédé par ses parents Léo Paul et Joséphine Desrochers.
La famille tient à remercier Marnie Chisholm et le personnel de Bayshore, ainsi que le personnel de Close the Gap pour leur compassion et les excellents soins.
En respectant ses souhaits, l’incinération aura lieu. Une célébration de vie privée aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés à la maison funéraire Lessard. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Paroisse St-Joseph.
