Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, February 17, 2024, Wanda Taylor of Straffordville at the age of 90 years. Wonderful wife of 69 years to her loving husband Jerry. Loving mother to her daughter Pam (Dennis) Wilson and their children, Jonathon Wilson and his daughter Gemma, Rebecca (Ryan) Parry and their children Rylan and Reid; son Joel Taylor (Todd Tiffin) and children Brittany Taylor (Tara), Braeden Taylor (Jocelyn) and children Karissa and Nolan, Joel’s step-children Jenna (Andrew) Robert and their children Ellie, Claire and Lilah, Mackenzie Tiffin (Jared); daughter Penny (Rob) Clarke and their children Nathan Clarke (Kelly) and their son Cooper, Andrew Clarke (Josie) and Lillian. Sister to Donna (the late Jack) Tribe and Donald (Cheryl) Million. Sister-in-law to (the late Lorne) Jean Taylor, Douglas (Gloria) Taylor and Dennis Taylor. Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Olive Million and daughter-in-law Deb Taylor. Wanda loved to bake, she was famous for always having cookies on hand and ready for family and guests. She was passionate about knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening both flowers and vegetables. Wanda and Jerry loved to travel with all of their family.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Bayham United Church, 9279 Duke St, Straffordville, ON N0J 1Y0 and on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm where the Memorial Service will commence at 1:00 pm at Bayham United Church, Straffordville. Rev. Tom Beecroft will be officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at Straffordville Cemetery, following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Bayham United Church, Straffordville directly with the Charity or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6 (519) 842-5221 who have been entrusted with arrangements.
