VANSTEVENDAAL, Theodore “Ted” Cyril (March 10, 1936 – June 17, 2024)
Passed away peacefully, at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 17th, 2024, with his loving wife and family by his side, Theodore “Ted” Cyril VanStevendaal of Tillsonburg in his 89th year.
Born in Terneuzen, Holland son of the late Cyril VanStevendaal and the late Ann (D’Haene) VanStevendaal.
Ted was a dedicated Woodworker and Cabinet Maker who proudly worked alongside his late son Peter. Their workmanship was well renowned and was in high demand.
Ted was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and formerly the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus #3212, Tillsonburg. He was a former member of the Tillsonburg Power Squadron.
Much loved husband and best friend of over sixty years of Betsy (Lamers) VanStevendaal. Loved father and father-in-law of: Ann (Brad Hicks), Tillsonburg and their children: Caitlin (Dameion), Heather (Quinn); late Peter VanStevendaal (August 14, 1993), Pam (Mark Jeffery), Tillsonburg and their children: Elaine (Ryan), Erin (Peter); and Trish (Kevin Michaud), Smith Falls and their children: Emily (Lloyd) Lee, Kevin (Charolette). Proud and loving grandpa of seven great-grandchildren: Kira, Damien, Rose, Aurora; and Olivia, Aubrey and Daisy Lee. Dear brother and brother-in-law of: Paula and the late John Arts, St. Thomas; Doug Nevill (and the late Fia), Tillsonburg; Rose (Dan Musch), Tillsonburg and nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Ted’s expressed wishes cremation will take place with no funeral service. A Family Graveside Service will be scheduled at a later date beside his son Peter in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
