Wilkens, Ruth Anne (Long) (December 9, 1952 – April 3, 2024) –
It is with sadness, that we the family of Ruth Anne (Long) Wilkens announce her peaceful passing, on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at her late Tillsonburg residence, at the age of 71. Ruth was predeceased by her much-loved husband and best friend Carl Wilkens (August 6th, 2019). Ruth was a dedicated employee at Otter Valley Foods, retiring in 2011. Ruth is lovingly remembered by her children Dan (Cyndi) Wilkens and Mary (Joe Armstrong), as well as by her grandchildren Joe Armstrong and David Armstrong (Miranda Nolet), all of Tillsonburg. Survived by her sister Shirley (Al Garon), her sister-in-law Pat Long, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Yorkley and Velma (Pressey) Long, her sister Marilyn Penner (2021) and her brother Clifford Long (2004).
In keeping with Ruth’s expressed wishes, following a private family gathering, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life at a later date.
