Rose Henry, a beacon of joy and kindness, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024 at the age of 81 years. Born July 24, 1943, Rose’s vivacious spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She navigated life with positivity, cherishing every moment and every person she encountered.
Rose’s joy for life was evident in her many passions. She was a person who found great pleasure in the simple joys of living. An avid Bingo enthusiast, she could often be found surrounded by her friends, dauber in hand, ready for the next number to be called. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and she dedicated herself to the community at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, where she was a familiar and beloved presence.
Music and dancing were among Rose’s greatest delights. Her voice, often lifted in song as she danced through life with enthusiasm.
Family was the heart of Rose’s world. She spoke often and fondly of her upbringing, instilling in others a deep appreciation for her French heritage. Rose was predeceased by her sister Fern, her brother Robert and her beloved mother Bertha.
Rose’s caring ways, larger-than-life personality and incredible smile will be missed by many! Everywhere she went, Rose knew someone! Rose valued all of her friends and enjoyed gathering with them over coffee, a bingo card or on the dance floor.
Cremation has taken place. As we say goodbye to Rose Henry and are reminded of the indelible mark she left on the world, all who knew Rose are invited to Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6 (519) 842-5221 on Friday October 4, 2024 at 1:00pm for a Funeral Liturgical Service to be officiated by Father Seejo John. Burial will take place at the Tillsonburg Cemetery following the service.
Her life was a tapestry of love, faith, and community, woven with the threads of her unwavering spirit.
