With broken hearts, the family of Philip Junior Lewis announce his passing at Norview Lodge in Simcoe on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Maxine (Dedrick) for over 60 years. Proud and loving father of Paul Lewis (Sheri), Christine Ostby (Dan) and Duane Lewis (Peggy). Cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Larry Dedrick (Mary), Sheldon Dedrick (Sandra), Stella Walker (Dave), Judy Mabee (Rob), Gloria Sinnesael (Brad) and Brad Dedrick (Kathy). Philip is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Philip and Evelyn (Brandon) Lewis and two sisters Phyllis Pitt (Harold) and Shirly Canfield (Jim).
In keeping with Philip’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Tillsonburg Legion, 16 Durham Street, Tillsonburg from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made directly online or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Lewis family.
