PETTIT, Olga Mary (Foglton) (August 18, 1929 – April 19, 2024)
It is with sadness, we the Pettit family wish to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Olga Mary Pettit (Foglton), At Glendale Crossing, London, on April 19th, 2024, in her 95th year. Formerly of Delhi, Olga resided in Tillsonburg since 1970, until recently when she relocated to “The Village of Glendale Crossing,” in London. Olga will be fondly remembered for her love of puzzles and bingo, as well as for her love of decorating during the Christmas season. Olga was proud to be a ‘farmer’s wife’ to her loving husband, Stanley N. Pettit (Aug. 2, 1997). She also worked at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria, retiring in 1983. Olga was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg. Olga will be dearly missed by her devoted children: Rick Pettit (partner Sue), and his children Mark and Trevor, of London; Roger Pettit (Izabella), and their children Nick, Amy and Anthony, of Woodstock. Olga is predeceased by five of her children: Terry Pettit (age 2); Lori Pettit (age 7); Ron Pettit (1995), and his late son Chad; Randy Pettit (2018) (survived by wife Deb and their daughters Amanda and Kaitlin; Ryan Pettit (2018) (survived by common law spouse Sylvia). Also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Olga was predeceased by all of her siblings: Marg, Bill, John, Nellie, Jack, Annie, Teresa and Rose.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, between 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. Public Liturgy to Celebrate Olga’s long and well lived life will follow on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. All funeral attendees are invited to a reception at the Carriage Hall (25 Brock St. W., Tillsonburg), immediately following the interment.
